More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesSierra Leone ranks as #177 (last place) in Human Development Index, according to the United Nations 2007-2008 Human Development report. Thousands of families live below the bread line and simply cannot afford to send their children and youths to school. Many families and schools do not have the resources to provide much-needed school and teaching supplies. This project will help educate 250 children in Freetown, Sierra Leone by providing scholarships, school and teaching supplies. ActivitiesBy providing scholarships, teaching and school supplies, students will be able to continue school and to learn effectively. This will help to empower or enhance student learning and reduce the illiteracy / school drop-out rate.
